I have been a professional, working artist for the past 20 plus years and I consider myself so blessed to be able to do something I love every day!

I began my career as an artist in 1993 working with clay and creating my original ceramic wall sculptures. it was at this point that this quote began to define my work:

Art is a collaboration between God and the artist, and the less the artist does the better.

André Gide

In following that advice, I transitioned from clay, and began working with hot glass in the form of lampwork bead making in 2004. Lampworking ignited a passion for glass work and so my next creative adventure was working with glass in the form of glass fusing or kiln formed glass. I have been able to translate many of my ceramic designs into kiln formed glass pieces.

Coming full circle, I am now sculpting in a fun new silver medium which when fired, leaves a beautiful, .999 pure silver work of art.

Experimenting with color, texture and form has always been at the center of my artwork. Whether it is a formed glass sculpture or of a piece of jewelry, each item is a hand built original and therefore no two are ever alike.

My “work” continues to be a combination of play, work and prayer all rolled into one and for me, the single most rewarding part of this journey continues to be experiencing another person’s reaction to something that I have created and knowing, that even if only briefly, I have touched or inspired them in some way.
